 Laurie is an experienced teacher, administrator and professional development presenter.  Laurie has worked as a Professional Development/Curriculum Coordinator and was a teacher at the High Rock School in Needham, MA where she taught for 9 years and was an Assistant Principal at the Newman Elementary School for ten years. During Laurie’s tenure in Needham, she was the district’s Professional Development Coordinator as well as a member of curriculum evaluation teams, teacher evaluation development teams, and DDM development team. She was a teacher representative on the committee that developed and oversaw the opening of the High Rock School.  Laurie is SEI Endorsed Instructor and has taught the Full Teacher and Administrator Endorsement Course to over 250 participants state-wide. In addition, Laurie has taught literacy courses at Simmons College.  Laurie received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a Reading Concentration from West Chester State University in West Chester, PA. She holds a Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction and a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Boston College.
