Our Impact
Teachers 21 works with districts to design a customized professional development program. Many districts have contracted with Teachers 21 for multiple years and this has resulted in substantial improvements in student achievement and the capacity of the school to sustain growth. Here we highlight several examples that have yielded sustained improvement in student achievement.
Improving Student Achievement: Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School
Beginning in 2003, Teachers 21 met with Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School’s district leaders to create a plan for growth in student achievement in both mathematics and English Language Arts. Multiple years of collaboration between Teachers 21 and Assabet Valley have resulted in noteworthy progress in these subjects.

Closing the Achievement Gap: Wachusett Regional High School
Teachers 21 began its work with Wachusett Regional High School in 2006 towards closing the achievement gap. Through a rigorous professional development program, Wachusett Regional High School’s Achievement gap was cut in half.

Comprehensive Urban District Improvement: Malden Public Schools
In 2002, Teachers 21 and Malden Public Schools entered into a partnership to improve student achievement, school culture, and district overall improvement. Results of this partnership have shown significant success in district achievement.
