Founded in 1993, Teachers21 is a non-profit organization working to ensure that all school-aged children are given an equal opportunity to succeed by endeavoring to provide them with educators who are eminently knowledgeable and qualified to teach them. Drawing upon research on educational practices, Teachers21 provides educators with the pedagogical tools and the means to shape their workplace climate into one within which they can be most effective.
Our Approach
By providing professional development opportunities (PD), supporting public policy and discourse initiatives, and dispersing to educators the results of the most current educational research, Teachers21 employs a multi-faceted approach to transforming the landscape within which learning takes place. Our PD team of highly knowledgeable and experienced consultants works to support and expand educators’ on-going learning and best practices. Our dedicated policy and public discourse team strives to strengthen the public’s understanding of the complexity of teaching and leading in schools, and of the crucial importance of educator excellence. Finally, our solid research approach provides both educators and policy makers with the useful and practical information they need to guide their professional development and public policy initiatives.
