Licensure Programs
Two state-approved licensure programs–one for principals, the other for superintendents–combine coursework, fieldwork, and performance assessments. The Leadership Licensure Programs are administered jointly by Teachers 21, the Massachusetts Secondary School Administrators Association (MSSAA), the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (MASS), and the Massachusetts Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (MASCD). Both programs have been approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
The Leadership Licensure Programs offer the following licenses:
Principal/Assistant Principal and Supervisor/Director: Leadership Licensure Program
Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent: Leadership Licensure Program for Superintendents
A Master’s Program in Mathematics Education is also offered.
