Overview
Teachers 21 provides proven, highly effective professional development and support programs for teachers, principals, school and district leadership teams focused on the ultimate goal of maximizing achievement for all students. The organization is guided by a belief that every student deserves to be taught by knowledgeable educators who believe in their students and work in schools with strong cultures of professional practice. We are a DESE authorized provider of services to help districts implement the new Supervision and Evaluation framework, and partner with schools and districts that want to make excellence in education a reality.
The professional development offerings of Teachers 21 are organized around five distinct frameworks:
Courses, Workshops and Coaching
Instructional Leadership Development
New Teacher Support and Mentor Training
Services to schools and districts are tailored to client needs and local conditions. Our working relationship with school districts and individual schools ranges from two-hour workshops or one-day to multi-year contracts involving strategic planning, support for implementation, and program evaluation. The organization’s consultants are– or have been– successful superintendents, principals, and teachers.
Two state-approved Leadership Licensure Programs are offered in collaboration with the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (MASS), the Massachusetts Secondary School Administrators Association (MSSAA), and the Massachusetts Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (MASCD). The Leadership Licensure Programs lead to licenses for principals and assistant principals (all levels), supervisors and directors, and superintendents and assistant superintendents. A Master’s degree program in Mathematics Education is also offered.
