Hannah Marton is a full time high school mathematics teacher at Wayland High School, where she also coaches a very successful math team. She has presented at the Wayland Mathematics Institute. Prior to teaching in Wayland she taught for six years in Martha’s Vineyard. During the past two decades she has taught courses ranging from foundations of Prealgebra to AP Calculus. She is an adjunct instructor at Lesley University where she has taught Geometry, Probability, Numbers and Operations, Algebra 1 and 2, and Number Theory. She developed several online courses for the program. Hannah serves as a cooperating teacher for student teachers, enjoying the collaboration of providing a foundation for a new generation of teachers. She earned her Master's of Science in Mathematics at Eotvos Lorand University of Budapest before immigrating to the United States. Her thesis on the comparison of the Hungarian and American ways of teaching mathematics reflects her own teaching style and is a combination of the best elements of the two traditions.
