Project Based Learning

Project-based learning creates engaging opportunities for students to acquire standards-based content knowledge and to demonstrate a variety of essential skills. It uses an inquiry approach that is structured around compelling, authentic questions and carefully designed tasks, products and performances that naturally lead students to higher order thinking skills. Students wrestle with complex questions and create culminating products that involve writing effectively, making oral presentations, and connecting their findings to real-world issues. Project-based learning allows teachers to differentiate instruction for learners with varying skill levels and learning profiles.
